Take a break from your hectic schedule and spend 7 days backpacking through the grandeur and beauty of the Wind River Range in Wyoming. Experience how God uses the wilderness to allure and speak tenderly to his daughters. Engage in authentic community, learn how to thrive in the outdoors, and get a fresh perspective on life!
This course is designed for women who are looking for a little more physical challenge than our All Women’s Snowies as well as a different location.

ESSENTIAL ELIGIBILITY

Physical Ability
- Carry a backpack weighing 45-50 lbs, hiking 2-7 miles a day with elevations changes of up to 1000 ft
- Hiking in and out of the Escalante River through water typically calf-deep
- Long days, often up at 6am and in bed at 9pm
When you enroll, we will provide you with a training plan to help prepare you for your course.
Arrival
On the Trip
Backpack through the awe inspiring Wind River Range. There you will encounter towering granite peaks, tread the rugged trails, observe unique alpine ecosystems, and be awestruck by starlit skies in some of the finest wilderness areas in North America.
We will teach you the skills to live in the wilderness, such as campsite selection, navigation, backcountry cooking, and going to the bathroom in the outdoors!
Your instructors will also model for you what it looks like to lead the group, and then you will get the chance to be a leader one day as well.
Each day will have a spiritual theme with family time in the evenings that often includes a devotional, discussion, and worship.
A Typical Backpacking Day:(times are estimates and will vary)
- Breakfast: Cook breakfast with your cook group
- 8:30 AM: Pack up camp and head to your next campsite
- Lunch: Enjoy lunch at a scenic spot on the trail
- 3:00 PM: Get to your new campsite and set up camp
- 4:00 PM: Time Alone with God (TAG), typically 1 hour, and/or teaching
- Dinner: Make a tasty dinner with your cook group
- 7:00 PM: Family Time – debrief the day, worship, and devotional/teaching
- 9:00 PM: Bedtime
Special Days:
- Solo – an extended time alone with God
