SROM strives to develop leaders and persons with in and outside of the wilderness industry. We also believe in the value of collaboration. As a result, SROM active seeks out partnerships with other industry professionals and organizations through our professional partnerships.
The Association for Experiential Education (AEE) is a non-profit organization that accredits programs that teach through experiential education. SROM is a member of the AEE as well as being an accredited program. Accreditation from the AEE means that SROM meets or exceeds the highest standards in the outdoor education and wilderness adventure industry for programming, teaching, training, risk management and overall organizational performance and operations.
The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics is an educational, nonprofit organization dedicated to responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors by all people worldwide. SROM is an active organizational member of the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. SROM is also one of eleven national providers of the industry leading Leave No Trace Master Educator Course. SROM teaches Leave No Trace ethics on all courses, and can certify students as Leave No Trace Trainers or Master Educators.
The Christian Adventure Association is a professional association and place of fellowship for those who use wilderness and adventure activities to impact lives for Christ. Their mission is to be “a community that exists to glorify Christ by encouraging, edifying, educating, and equipping wilderness and adventure leaders.”
“The mission of the WEA is to promote the professionalism of outdoor leadership through establishment of national standards, curriculum design, implementation, advocacy, and research driven initiatives.”
