BS – Recreation, Park & Tourism Management – Pennsylvania State University
I haven’t been comfortable since before December 8th, 2009. Since then I have been on a stretching journey, a whirlwind adventure seeking Christ’s love and compassion and desire that He hungers for others. December 8th was the date that I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. On that cold evening I felt scales fall from my eyes and weights fall off of my shoulders. I’m originally from Pennsylvania and God called me out west long before I knew who He was in my life. A year after giving my life over to The Lord and making the choice to follow where ever He would send me, He pointed me to the Redwood forest in Northern California where I taught environmental education and served in the community God called me to since 2010.
Through the obedience of following God and striving to trust Him fully, I have been guided through many different forms of mission work both in and out of the United States. Through travel and sacrifice I have discovered more and more the intimacy God has planted within me to reach out, encourage and serve others, ultimately bringing continued opportunity to serve and glorify God. I went on the Wilderness Ministry Professionals course with SROM in the summer of 2014 thirsty to build better leadership skills. My heart and world were completely rocked and overwhelmed with the understanding of Gods unconditional love for me as His beloved daughter. Emerging from the back country 23 days later, I felt a new identity and very loud direction from God to apply full time with SROM and to use the gifts that He has been sharpening in me.
Shortly after moving to Laramie, Wyoming to work full time in January 2015 I met my now Husband, Austin, who has been involved with SROM for over 10 years as an instructor and former full time staff member. We married in May of 2016 and have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to serve together through our church, our community and with in Gods incredible creation. He is currently pursuing a degree in Nursing.
I have a vital role in helping orient and guide students toward their goal of getting on our courses. I get to check in, encourage and help with their course preparation. A very important role of getting students stoked for their journey! I would be ecstatic and oozing with joy if you would join me on my monthly support team! Sustainable living in Laramie Wyoming is $2,000 per month.
$300, $200, $150, $100, $50 monthly or a single gift. Whatever you feel led to give and pray, The Lord rejoices in this opportunity for us to serve alongside each other.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us”-Ephesians 3:20
Blessings and thanksgiving to you with much Love!
